Nancy M. Servis features ceramic artists through published articles, catalogue essays, insightful comment, and online exhibitions. Vessel makers, sculptors, and installation artists are among many whose work illustrates the innovative and dynamic story of clay use in Northern California. As curator, university educator, and writer, her effort sheds new light on the compelling story of this region, and its broad influence of the past 75 years. Nancy’s knowledge of the artistic use of clay goes beyond influential strides in the medium made in both Northern and Southern California. She weaves national and international accomplishment into the global discussion of ceramics and its many creative interpretations.
